Holy fuck jesus christ that's freaking me out!!!!
I hope Emily Limon was keeping her adorable infant safe at the the time.
And drilling into the infant's head that nature is DANGEROUS!!!
Folks, please only take your children to the mall.
I hope she gave Baby D a stick to poke-a-de-snake with.
This is why I did not go running up there today.
Yeah. That's it.
You saw it here first. Migden has moved into D9, not D10 as rumored.
winner!
You people are mean. T~T
I think it's *adorable*. I'd squee all happy if I saw it. =o
Corn snake?
I like the Edward Abbey philosophy: "I'd rather kill a man than a snake."
The interwebs to the rescue!

although I guess it's not all black...but maybe the guy with the missing snake can come get this one instead.
looks like a typical gopher snake to me.
http://www.nps.gov/prsf/naturescience/gopher-snake.htm
We've seen snakes on Bernal Hill on several occasions. Not to mention a Coyote and Great Horned Owls. We're all in it together to get rid of the gophers.
Shir... Check me if I'm wrong... but if I get rid of all da golfers, dey're gonna lock me up and throw away the key.
Definitely gopher snake...and don't kill it!! It's a very beneficial snake( actually all snakes are beneficial until one runs into a poisonous species)
Poisonous ones are beneficial too, just not to the things they bite.
I'm good as long as there are no poisonous snakes. A rattle snake will kill a dog in 15 minutes!
Only if you walk your dog off leash. In which case, I blame the owner, not the snake.
And most rattlers are probably not going to survive most dog-snake interactions.
Um, wrong. Rattlesnakes blend so well into their environment. You don't even know you're near one until you happen to look down and see that your foot is about to step on one. How a leash would somehow prevent a dog from doing the same, when the owner doesn't even see the snake, I have no idea.
And of course Bernal Hill is a legal off leash dog area.
It's a non-poisonous gopher snake. Note: No rattle.
But your reaction to it was SHAMEFUL.
Even rattlers deserve to live in peace.
Sfist has no shame!
Please try to keep up.
I think the author was making fun at his squeamishness of snakes. And made me LOL for realz in doing so.
Very cool. It can hang out in my hood anytime.
