Residents near Muir Beach in Marin are up-in-arms over a certain man who frequents Little Beach, the unofficially clothing optional area adjacent to Muir Beach, and proceeds to pleasure himself in broad daylight. While this sight might be all too familiar to residents of the Tenderloin (or certain alleys in SOMA), it is wholly unwelcome to these Marin denizens who have logged at least four complaints of "unlawful sexual activity" with the Sheriff's Department.
We suppose even the liberality that allows for nude beaches has its limits, and no, we wouldn't want to look at that either

as it is, society almost uniformly disapproves of this pda. self affection. until or unless that choice of society changes, anyone wishing to challenge society will very likely be curtailed.
and that being so may cause others to lose opportunities for less controversial recreation.
nature calls each of us on a different frequency. obviously such activity is less discouraged than murder, but for some people it might seem as threatening.
the victorian bedroom door was did not always exist. there may have been less opposition to such behavior being done without complete assurance of visual discovery by others. but that would have pre existed victorian times. there are far more people now. and the ability to be discrete is less in so many ways.
i can only wish everyone their freedom to express without anyone losing the freedom from unwanted exposures by others.
