If you're planning to purchase lawn tickets for any Shoreline Amphitheatre concerts this summer, be sure to get them via Live Nation on a select No Service Fee Wednesday, including today, for an all-in-one price of $24.99. This is an especially great deal for concerts such as Depeche Mode and Def Leppard/Poison/Cheap Trick, where regular lawn tickets start at $40, once all of the annoying service fees are factored in.
We don't quite understand why there's such a variety of lawn ticket prices, as indicated on Stub Hub, but then again we're not really the amphitheater type. We are very tempted to forgo our distaste in large concert venues for the sweet Depeche Mode deal though. [Via funcheapSF]

I'm almost tempted to go to Depeche Mode as well -- and I consider Shoreline to be the last and final circle of hell (but the Budweiser is even more expensive.)
Side note: I prefer to call them "Depress Mood." But that's just me.
This in no way makes up for the fact TicketMaster (a.k.a. TicketBastard; now an even bigger monopoly formally known as LiveNation) will continue to charge insane fees for ticket purchases, just as soon as the congressional heat dies down.
Love me the Depeche Mode and the Def Leppard, but, grass "seats" at Shoreline are soooooo bad that even a non-service charged ticket is too much for them!
Have fun if you go, Depeche Mode and Def Leppard both put on amazing shows. :)
