A little before 8:30 p.m. last night, an Amici's pizza delivery man was pistol-whipped and robbed at Third and Stillman streets. Police officers who arrived on the scene found the man lying unconscious on Stillman, his undelivered pizzas at his side. The victim, whose skull "might have been shattered," reported an officer on the scene, was whisked away to a nearby hospital. However, according to one of his coworkers, "He's doing fine now."
No arrests have been made.
This makes the third type of pistol whipping-related assault to occur on the small street located just under the overpass. In January, two men were whipped and robbed, and a woman was pistol whipped, later dying as a result of her injuries. All of these incidents occurred in the same location.

Meanwhile, does anyone know anything of the car-pedestrian incident that occurred at 16th and Potrero this morning?
way to hijack the thread ihartsf
i bet the crossing guard that works for caltrans at 3rd and bryant knows who did this.
she's a local.
What's with the animosity towards pizza delivery guys in this city?
Dude... they're bringing pizza to you. How awesome is that? Why all the hate?
That overpass could use some artwork, lighting, and cameras from the sounds of it.
The should probably expand their "No deliveries after dark" map:
