Swoops caught on tape!
Flickr photog Ingrid Taylar captured this harrowing shot of San Francisco's most famous brewer blackbird ("Swoops") in mid-attack. The bird has made headlines recently as he defends his and his gal pal's nest from passersby in downtown San Francisco.
Check out Taylar's shot of Swoops getting into pre-attack stance, right here.

wow, thats an awful big bag of pills that fellow is holding in his left arm.
I was out there yesterday. It's just hilarious. Dozens of people stand around, waiting for an innocent victim. Then someone comes along, and everyone warns them! No, just kidding, they let them walk the Path of Doom waiting for Swoops to go apeshit. It's like Bush Man at Fisherman's Wharf, or some live-action version of Candid Camera.
Swoops' Shenanigans: I'm pitching it as a reality TV series.
Surely there's some entrepreneurs out there chomping at the bit to create and sell some Swoops paraphenalia ... since Gavin was kicked out of the Fastrak ads, maybe Gavin's hair can co-star with Swoops on a t-shirt. I tease, I tease ... I'm glad no crazy has killed the bird or messed with the nest.
i'm developing a line of swoops commemorative plates so people can eat things like chicken, turkey, and duck, off the face of this little not-so-alone ranger
if anyone steals my idea, i'll totally sue you or something
or i'll just sell them for half what you sell them for
or i'll just give them away to the victims
i'm a fowl philanthropist
do not fowl me up
