Hyman
In a virtual allowing-newspapers-to-accumulate-at-your-front-door-like move, Arizona resident Israel Hyman (tee hee, sounds like "hymen") left twitter messages mentioning that he was out of town. Then, as fate would have it, Hyman's residence was then robbed of thousands of dollars worth of computer equipment while he was out of town. Oops. According to reports, "Hyman has a video podcasting company and says he makes his living on Twitter, but he thinks his message may have tipped off the thieves."

read about that last week. my money is on this being an inside job and someone that he didn't pay. forgive my suspicions about this guy being a douche. oy vey!
I'm gonna have to go with suckafree here. It's gotta be someone he knows, someone who knows where he lives, what he has, that his house is worth robbing, I'd think anyway. If I were to post my vacation plans on twitter, most people would know my place isn't worth the effort to rob! And those who would go out of their way to rob it would be sorely disappointed.
One scam that was going down in Contra Costa: Thieves were somehow getting a hold of San Francisco Newspaper Agency's vacation list (how could THAT possibly happen) and using it to target out of towners. Some cops say you might want to have friends collect your newspapers daily rather than putting them on hold.
You mean "PROTIP:"
see what prop 8 has done to me? ugh.
thanks. fixed.
Better protip: just don't Twitter at all. That way not only are you safe from your own stupidity, you're also safe from being a total douche.
Seconded.
Absolutely agree.
Israel Hyman??? There's your name of the week winner.
