THEATER: CASA (Children’s After School Arts) is having a musical theatrical extravaganza, Adventures at Camp Itchy Scratchy, starring 85 kindergarten through fifth graders. "Looking to escape their school-year stresses, a group of kids travel to Camp Itchy Scratchy only to find themselves embroiled in a battle of power and blood." The event is a fundraiser for CASA.

MUSIC: It's the second night of Portland indie rock at Bottom of the Hill. Kill Rock Stars' indie, punk, pop outfit The Thermals headline, and Shaky Hands and Point Juncture, WA open.

8:30 p.m. // Bottom of the Hill (1233 17th St) // $15, all ages

IMPROV: See a group of improv graduates put to the test at BATS Improv's Student Showcase: Spontaneous Broadway. Students improvise solos, duets and group numbers from different musicals in the first half, and the audience votes on which one they want to see turned into a complete musical in the second.
