And now, for a dramatic morning dose of the macabre, we present too you a story about a man accused of attacking a colleague with a meat cleaver in Palo Alto. Happening at "fine Shanghai cuisine" restaurant Jade Palace on California Avenue a little after 7 p.m. last night, the fuzz "found an Asian man in his late 40s or early 50s in the kitchen area with three to four stab wounds to the face and torso from a cleaver," after reporting to the scene. According to Mercury News, the victim was simply drenched in blood. "It was all over the place. It was all over his back," said Richard Reyes, owners of nearby business. "You could see some of his muscles hanging out."
The male victim is listed in critical condition.
Anyway, the suspect, "who may go by the name Michael Chen, Chen Chun or Chun Chen," scrammed right after the attack. Described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds and Asian-ish, the police aren't "quite sure A) who he is and B) what city he hails from," said Agent Dan Ryan. Many of the witnesses, it seems, were Mandarin-speaking, so officers have to wait to find translators who speak the language.
If you have information on Chen Chun or Chun Chen, please call Palo Alto police immediately at 650-329-2413.

Ward... Don't you think you were being a little hard on the Beaver?
"You could see some of his muscles hanging out."
Stay away from the wok...
I hope it wasn't over poached egg foo young.
I read the headline quickly and saw, "Clever" attack. And I thought awesome! Not only macabre, but clever! Kept waiting for the payoff, but by the time I got to "You could see some of his muscles hanging out." I knew that my definition of clever was far different than yours.
OMG, not Chen Chun, or Chun Chen, or Michael Chen, or Miguel Corleone Chung, or Chung King, or Wang Chung!
Just look for a very angry, short, Asian dude with a bloody cleaver. That should whittle it down a bit.
Cleaver Your Coworker sounds like a Morrissey song.
The PAPD is having a hard time finding a translator? For Mandarin? In Palo Alto?!
Dude... if it takes you more than 10 minutes to find someone who speaks Mandarin in Palo Alto, you're doing it wrong.
Cool! Maybe cleaver-man was following in the footsteps of his hero, Wong Chi Hang and he was going to make pork buns with his victim, just like the 1993 movie, The Untold Story
UPDATE -- I've just been told they caught the guy. He's a co-worker who's in his 60's.
