Hot off the presses is SF Weekly's annual Best of San Francisco issue. Here are some highlights. Everyone's favorite, Mission Mission, came away with Best Neighborhood Blog. SFist Richard, aka Sparkletack nabbed Best SF History Podcast. Vicki Marlane at Aunt Charlie's was ordained Best Drag Queen. The feisty Ed Leong won Best Octogenarian Badminton Player. And we can attest that Humphry Slocombe is the Best New Ice Cream Store. Their "Secret Breakfast" is delish.
As for the Readers Poll winners, we are proud to say that SFist nabbed Best Blog for the second year in a row, on top of SFist Brock getting Best Blogger last year. (And we didn't even bug our friends to vote.) Socially-responsible Social Imprints got Best New Start-up, and Gavin Newsom got Best and Worst Politician, as well as Best Person to Follow on Twitter. Joey DeRuy won Best Artist, and Charlie Horse at The Cinch got Best Drag Show. We also find it a bit amusing that Pasta Pomodoro got Best Restaurant (hmmm).
UPDATE: Our semi-NSFW gay friends at The Sword have a rundown of all the gay and tranny winners.

Pasta P.? Spruce was robbed.
You think?!
Doesn't Pasta Pomodoro have more than 12 locations?
Pasta P. is MUCH better than Spruce. When I went Spruce was a total train wreck.
Shouldn't there just be one big award for "Best Whomever Or Whatever That Bought Ad Space"?
Pasta Pomodoro got both Best Restaurant and Best Italian Restaurant. WTF? Who votes in these things?
I always think back to the alt-newsweekly I worked at in Indianapolis, where the Best Of issue always became a huge battle between two local Indian buffets. They'd each buy full-page ads and have their employees stuff the ballots. In addition to 10+ ballots that all had the same name for Best Indian Restaurant, they all also had "Radio Shake" as Best Electronics Store. Pretty hilarious.
They have Indian food in Indianapolis?
Only a couple. North and South Indian though, which were the two dueling buffets. I recently heard of some crazy underground Indian place there where you have to go through some hidden maze in a mall to get to. Can't wait!
Pasta P. nabbed the award. Damn, I voted for Olive Garden.
Pasta P, that's cute. Kinda puts all the other categories' winners in perspective, doesn't it? ;)
I thought Brock and Newsom winning awards was enough for that.
The whole issue sucks. go through all the awards and you feel what a waste of paper.
Can someone tell me why Chevy's won the reader's choice for best happy hour? Do they have happy hour specials?
Yes. Despair and boredom are both 2-for-1.
i lol'd
OMG, the list is full of ironic gems!
In a related story, McDonald's walked away with the best burger award. Sorry Darla.
HEY - are you all trying to diminish SFist's win for for Best Blog?? We took that shit without calling in a single favor, ladies and germs.
And as for editorial winners, we fully stand behind Vicki Marlane as Best Drag Queen and Danielle Steel as Best Celebrity Blogger... heh.
Humphry Slocombe? Meh.
I'll never forgive them for their "salt and pepper" ice cream. I've never spit out ice cream before or since, and I've even eaten that garlic crap you get at the Festival in Gilroy.
Copa Loca FTW!
