You may recall Zennie from his complaints about the "outsized" proportions of the futuristic San Francisco shown in the trailer for J.J. Abrams' new Star Trek film. Well, the movie's out, and Zennie's got his tickets! (See link for a tangent about his high school bike club in the 70s.) In the video posted here, in re: the new Star Trek, Zennie asks the question, Where are all the black people?

is this becoming a local version of the old "Recliner of Rage" feature on Conan O Brien?
There was only a decent percentage of black men in the old Star Treks because the majority of the Klingons were black. Also, there are plenty of black men portraying the bad guys, sure the bad guys being black is kind of racist but at least they're in there!
Also, also, I am by no means a Trekkie, but I'm pretty sure Starfleet is an intergalactic organization. It's not crazy to think that in the early days there weren't too many interspecies interactions. The Academy in SF is the Earth Academy, like having the AI of SF, NY, Atlanta etc. This guy needs a day job or just a hobby other than Star Trek or to remodel his home like the interior of the Enterprise. Why not just boycott the movie all together like the other fool-hearty Treksters who want some of the profits donated to studying space?
Also, thanks.
My answer: Thanks to affirmative action, black people have all become too rich and educated to join the military.
Who freakin' cares? Nyota Uhura is one freakin' hot black woman. Enough said. This guy needs to shut up and stop whining.
