I feel bad for the taquerias in town (and around Cali)that might be having a serious dip in their business right now. I fear nobody is ordering wonderful al pastor burritos. And al pastor super nachos. And chorizo anything. Of course, you don't get the swine flu from eating pigs and pig products. You get it from other people! And you don't have to eat them, either, to get it! So rather than being a "good time to go vegetarian," I think now would be a good time to avoid people. Especially unsanitary ones, who smoke and don't have UV lights and never sleep because they're tweaking and have lowered immune systems.

Probably not swine flu, but my girlfriend and I both became sick with fluish symptoms (headache, nausea, general discomfort) around Monday. Her doctor told her it wasn't swine flu, but it's still crazily coincidental. Almost as coincidental as her having a doctor's appointment already scheduled for the day she just happened to become ill.
