Cal State East Bay senior Jamonte Turner, 23, was gunned down at Third Street and Harrison at 2 a.m. shortly after leaving Boss Nightclub on April 18. Celebrating a night out with his colleagues, he and his friends were allegedly harassed by a group of guys once the club closed. A verbal dispute occurred outside the venue, leading to gunfire from the group of harassing men. As the friends scattered, Turner "was among those running on Third, [and] was shot from behind. He managed to make it across the street before he collapsed at Third and Folsom." He died at the scene. Police still have no leads as to who did this or the group of men involved. If you have any information regarding this case, please contact teh SFPD violent crime line at 415-575-4444.
