I see this guy a lot. I feel really bad for the animals. But fact is, panhandlers with any kind of animal make more $ than those without. Please do NOT encourage him! I've seen him move the animals back "into position" when they tried to get off one another. They are not happy, especially the cat. Pobrecitos.

I saw this weirdo up on Chestnut St. I joked with him that he must have gone through at least 4 or 5 rats. He creepily responded, "More like thousands of rats." He then proceeded to pull another rat out of his pocket. Needless to say, he's not getting my dollar.

Are you kidding? Don't encourage him. Every time I see that guy all I think is animal abuse because the trio looks drugged, beaten, or both. It's great to show that different species can get along, but they have to stay in that formation all day and aren't free to move around. They're usually laying on the sidewalk looking filthy and pathetic while tourists gawk. Then the guy says "They're free to do whatever, they just like it". I highly doubt it, take one look and you'll see that something really wrong is happening to those animals. Whoever took the video above must have caught them at an odd moment of moving from one tourist trap to another.
