Stars of NYC Gay Scene Make SF Debut at Lip Service

LipServiceBanner.jpg 'Tis the season when many of your more athletic gay friends start hitting you up for donations for their AIDS/LifeCycle trip to LA, and amongst the gays of SF there are about nine benefit events every weekend. The biggest one this year takes place tomorrow night at the Castro Theatre with NYC DJ and rapper Cazwell (famous for his songs "All Over My Face" and "I Seen Beyonce at Burger King") and drag star Peppermint (famous for kissing straight Iraq War veteran Ryan when they took him to a gay bar on The Real World: Brooklyn) joining Deee-Lite's Lady Miss Kier, LA drag queen/comedienne Jackie Beat, and SF's own Heklina and Peaches Christ for a big night of big gay buffoonery.

It's called Lip Service and SFist readers can get $5 off tickets by calling City Box office at 392-4400 and using the discount code "Pucker Up", or you can buy your tickets here. Proceeds from the show benefit AIDS/LifeCycle team Go Big!

You can read an interview with Peppermint at The Sword (NSFW!) or watch Cazwell's video for "I Seen Beyonce at Burger King" below. Both performers are making their San Francisco debuts tomorrow.
