Every Little Step chronicles the grueling 2006 auditions for the revival of The Chorus Line, which is about a grueling audition. The filmmakers "seamlessly interweave audition scenes with vintage footage, interviews and snippets from unearthed 1974 audiotapes" and "the echoes between the present-day process and the musical are endless." How very meta!
