Photos: Cherry Blossom Anime Costume Contest

Did you check out the Cherry Blossom Festival and Parade yesterday? Or did the heat send you running for the beach?

As usual, Jim Herd from San Francisco Citizen got some great shots of the parade, as well as the Anime Costume Contest at City Hall, which are featured above. Check out the winners.

We spent some time in Japantown yesterday, with the intention of capturing some great photos, but we quickly became hot, cranky, and agoraphobic. The "Hawaiian" chili we ate at the Fest also made us kind of queasy. (There were no pineapples like they claimed, and they poured the chili out of a can onto a pile of rice. Obviously, that's why there was no line at that particular booth.)
