<description>&lt;p&gt;Science gave us acrylics.  Science also gave us UV filters for windows.  Presumably the architect who built this house for himself knew about both innovations.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Interesting...acrylate-based polymers (&quot;acrylics&quot;) are usually poor choices for a structure that will get a decent about of sun, since they tend to degrade in UV-light.  What other questionable choices were made in the construction of this building?&lt;/p&gt;</description>
