Jonesing

There's nothing worse than the smell of a fresh cigarette stub on Muni (aside from the less frequent bodily functions or a burrito in the process of being eaten).

We have to admit to pocketing our half-smoked cigs on a few occasions when we first moved here several years ago and still smoked. So, we're sorry to our fellow riders who had to endure the odor. You know how Murphy's Law goes when waiting for the bus, "Light up a cigarette, and the bus will come." And it's a shame to throw it out half-smoked. We did find it easy to quit smoking in San Francisco though, BTW.

At first glance I didn't realize the photo was taken because the lady had a cigarette in her mouth.

same here. i thought we were gonna start ripping on fatties. consider my hopes dashed.

with the new cigarette tax i imagine you're going to see alot more of this. people can't afford to throw away a half butt.

It's no one thing that makes this image so very special. ;)

How about you take your butts with you, regardless, instead of throwing them in to the street where the majority of you people think some magical street fairy picks them up for you? Or at very least try not to toss it in front of a moving motorcycle.

W3rd... That's why I keep old spark plugs in my jacket pocket to carelessly toss out over my shoulder, once I pass the offending vehicle.

did you know that people sometimes throw out carrot greens? it's true!

srsly, there is a magic fairy, but most of us call it "street cleaning."

remember, smokers: after snuffing a half-smoked cig, blow through the butt one more time. It blasts out some lingering smoke and smoldering tobacco and it WILL decrease the stank of that thing when it sits in your pocket!
