Twitter Worm Pimps Twitter Knockoff

TwitterLogo.jpg It's about time some high school student figured out how to torture the Twitterati with an annoying internet worm, and Michael Mooney, 17-year-old founder of StalkDaily.com, just did. He unleashed a worm that caused pop-ups advertising his site to appear on affected Twitter accounts over the weekend and into early Monday.

Co-founder of Twitter, Biz Stone, says they've dealt with the problem. Mooney, a.k.a. "Mikeyy," is hoping they'll take this as a helpful lesson and not slap him with a lawsuit (which would be a huge bummer as he heads into senior year). "I am backing off now," says Mikeyy. "Twitter ignored its vulnerability (to worms) so I am hoping they can just ignore me now." We're totes sure no one over there wants your head on a stick, Mikeyy. Watch yourself. Also, good job!
