Phil Spector Found Guilty of Murder

phil_spector_lana_clarkson.jpg After a lengthy legal battle including a deadlocked-jury mistrial in 2007, famed record producer and hair model Phil Spector has been convicted of second-degree murder in the 2003 death of B-movie actress Lana Clarkson. After a long night of partying at Spector's Alhambra home known as "the Castle," Clarkson was found dead of a gunshot wound.

Spector's attorneys tried unsuccessfully to argue that Clarkson put the gun in her own mouth and pulled the trigger, due to her faltering career, and despite repeated incidents over the years of Phil getting blasted and threatening a woman with a gun. Sentencing is scheduled for May 29th.
