Wow, it's the Tibetan Freedom Concert all over again!
See ya there, brah!!!!
Sidestages don't look as dire, but I don't see myself buying a three-day for that.
All of the headliners kind of suck this year.
For real—if I wanted to hear those headliners, I'd turn on 105.3 for an hour. I'll be at the side stages...
at least ween is gonna be there!
I'm not going to be so stupid to buy a ticket this year after seeing how easy it was to sneak in last year. I wonder if they will try to tighten security?
Tigers and Polar Bears will be handling security from what I understand. The Hells Angels were previously booked for this weekend.
Hell, I just opened up my living room window
Hell is coming... start scheduling your out-of-town vacation now.
Also, see if your boss will let you off work Friday, you don't want to commute by bus or train that afternoon.
these headliners are so lame. they're catering to the late twenties/early thirties crowd.
That's probably where the money is.
that's probably right. at any rate, a lot of the other bands on the list are cool. i guess the actual 'headliners ;'last year weren't all that exciting either - jack johnson.
mars volta? *throws up* i'm not paying for a ticket either.
Os Mutantes! wow! that's kind of exciting.
os mutantes free at stern grove a couple years ago kinda sucked.
the headliners seem to be for 'gauranteed' money, but the other stages have the exact same thing going on. Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews = Modest Mouse & Built to Spill.
There are a bunch good bands though, the price may be a bit steep.
I'll def be waiting for the passes to get resold for cheap on craigslist this year. especially with this lineup. Here's to hoping Treausre Island's lineup delivers.
someone asked me out on a date during a pearl jam concert (i was there for sonic youth!) and the answer was no. would wanna see the dodos though.....swooon.
Are tickets only sold as a 3-day pass this year? No single day tickets? What about those of us that *gasp* work?
I've never been so excited to see so many bands that are ten years past their prime!

Dead Weather and the Dodos are the only bands I care anything about. I'll take the dog and sit within earshot - I'm not gonna buy a ticket an deal with all the posers. I don't have that kind of patience anymore.
Of all the alterna-dinos this year, why not recently reformed hometown boys Faith No More
As a thirty-something that they appear to be targeting, I'm pretty disappointed with the lineup.
Not all of us haven't picked up any new music in the last 15 years. Some of us would have preferred bands that aren't so amazingly past their prime. I can think of at least a dozen bands that are putting out new albums that aren't terrible festival headliners...
This is what happens when you have a single promoter running the show I guess. It seems like they're saving their trendy/indie/younger crowd bands for Treasure Island instead. Blah.
Yeah, no.
Festival shows are tired. Just not worth it to battle the crowds for beer, food & views to "see" 40 low-energy minutes of a band you kinda wanted to see since you heard their album once.
Am I getting old? Maybe targeting a 30something crowd isn't such a good idea after all.
