Maybe this morning's helicopters weren't just for the next exciting episode of Trauma? According to San Francisco Business Times, the Bank of America at Market and New Montgomery was robbed. "As helicopters circled the city’s financial district," Biz Times says, "those trying to enter the BofA branch shortly after the robbery were greeted by locked doors and a sign that read, 'Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are temporarily closed. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patronage.'" No on was injured. No arrests have been made.

Was the armed guard asleep?
Again? I was there for the last botched robbery about a decade ago when the crim bought it on Minna.
The last time that location was robbed I believe a customer was shot in the back of the head while standing in line, right? He lived... I rememeber that.
Actually, I am pretty sure they get robbed a few times a year -- but I suspect that it normally doesn't turn into a "situation" where they have to close.
Why is it that the police only get involved when the thieves are not on the executive team?
I guess there really isn't any honesty amongst thieves.
Why would anyone rob BofA? They don't have any money! They were recently bailed out with taxpayer money, just to keep it afloat.
A smart criminal would have gone across the street:

If and when they catch this thief, will he be put under house arrest too?
I don't think they were robbed. A lot of banks were shut down because of the phone line sabotage.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a bunch of 15 year olds with time on their hands like the "media" is making it out to be. Who else would know exactly which cables to clip to bring down that many people. Definitely an inside job.
Wasn't that the location where two armed guards in front of that location flicked off a cameraman?

cute picture
fwiw, passed by this afternoon after lunch, and the security guard that is usually posted out front was not there. In fact, there was no security guard there at all. Kinda weird.
