Today's Giants opener against the Milwaukee Brewers is being threatened by today's (much-needed!) bout of rain. Although the first pitch is expected to kick things off at around 1:05 p.m., a chance of thunderstorms and hail are as well. But according to Giants spokeswoman Staci Slaughter (who might have the single best name in the city), "We won't make a determination until closer to first pitch ... [p]eople should still plan on coming out." And since rain has always been considered good luck in our book, we're going to say that today's dreary weather is a good omen.
