I hope he plays -- JaMarcus seems hopeless. And I hope people recognize the absurdity of the "he can mentor JaMarcus" storyline.

Garcia's play down the home-stretch last year and all the time he missed are a big reason Chucky was purged. His best days are well behind him and for a variety of reasons, Raiders'fans should hope he's seen mostly on the sidelines next year.

When he was our QB, I was still hung over from our Montana and Young years, and no QB was worthy unless he wore 16 or 8. To me, he was just a tourist passing through. Now, looking back, those bad old days were the kinda good old days. It's too bad he never found a true home. He was actually pretty damn awesome. Wouldn't mind seeing him in Red and Gold again. Wouldn't mind at all.

Jeff also has been in the top 5 passer rating for the last two seasons. I think starting Jeff Garcia might work out better than Jamarcus.
