Free Screening of Milk at The Independent on Monday Night

MilkDVDBox.jpg FuncheapSF alerted us to a free screening of Milk on Monday night at 8 p.m. at the Independent. We just might go and swoon over James Franco and Emile Hirsch some more, while stifling our desire to strangle Diego Luna (this character ruined him for us). FuncheapSF smartly suggests "booing and hissing" at Anita Bryant, but maybe "boozing and hissing" is more accurate, since there is a two-drink minimum with the free admission. FuncheapSF adds in parentheses that they've never seen the rule enforced though.

they don't enforce it but even if they did, drinking two drinks is easy (I drink two drinks before I drink two drinks and then I drink two more)

The other thing to remember is that the Independent charges concert venue prices for drinks so that cup of Pyramid will run ya $5 w/o tip. I guess that is the trade off of the movie being free. Back on the positive side of things: you can bring in your own food!
