Booka Shade
by Moses Namkung
Monday, again!? We don't like Mondays.
Last week, we went to Cafe Du Nord, the Fillmore and the Independent. This week, pickings are slightly slimmer; word on the street is that there's some sort of a music festival going on in Texas and like, a few bands are gathering there, or something. If you do want a taste of this, though, check out Seattle-based radio station 90.3 KEXP for some live performances, starting Wednesday. Also, if you are indeed at SXSW and dig local Bay Area music, check out this event at the Austin version of Beauty Bar.
