Our New Favorite Newsom: Chloe

Just how she's related to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom isn't clear. She might be his first cousin. What we do know is that Chloe Newsom thinks "books are fer fags!" -- and she's all kinds of awesome.

How did we come across her? On Twitter. It all started out when GavinNewsom replied "@ChloeNewsom @ChloeNewsom got to reach out." Innocent enough, right? Then, like kisses from Baby Jesus above, she has since responded with such gems as "When did our family approve Fox Sunday?," "Divorce much?," "Nigga u trippin," "Gav I meant. I'm wasted. You can't get mad!," and more. Much more.

Swoon!

Owen Thomas at Valleywag has more, including speculation that she's the infamous Newsom cousin who attended Matt Gonzalez's election-night party with Harmon Leon many moons ago.

I was wondering when Gav was gonna get his own Billy Carter (now that he's not his own any longer)

Following! Quick, before she requires approval...still under 100 followers at this point.

3-0 to Liverpool at Anfield. Adios amigos.

Since Chloe's cousin blocked me from following him on twitter, I'm following her instead. So far, I've found her to be more insightful and just as likely to be the next governor.

However, I will disagree as to why Newsom shouldn't have gone on Fox News, as it would have been stupid even if it wasn't the home of his ex-wife. There is no demographic more likely to vote Republican than those who watch Fox. There are no votes to be gained. It is a waste at best, more likely counterproductive, and is very illustrative of Newsom's complete lack of understanding big league politics.

But his cousin rocks, got to give him that.

You gotta lose the Hoff picture before she'd pay attn to you.

Party's over. Shit all gone done went private. Not that her overprivileged inane prattle was better than anyone else's overprivileged inane prattle, but still.

Now we have incest to add to the list?

wow.. is everyone this interested in what chloe had to say? i personally know her, very well. i understand that most (if all) of you do not. as such you would not know her brand of humor or that she is a competent young woman who enjoys life. the comments she made on twitter were done so when she was out having fun and meant to be seen by her friends/family only. they have been taken way out of context as i know she doesnt now nor has she ever thought "books are fer fags" etc etc. and, in case you are over the age of 40 let me explain that the word "nigga" isn't meant in the same context as its nasty counterpart - especially when referencing "Fox Sunday". i guarantee you that 100% of you pointing the finger and making fun of her in some way are doing so because its safe and anonymous. you all are also guilty of the same, if not worse, online conduct. the only difference is nobody cares about you so it never surfaces. your time on here is better spent naming the baby chimp.

are you insane? we LOVED chloe! we knew she was kidding. she was a breath of fresh air.

deep breaths, Again&Again.

fair enough. even though i see the humor in it, i was under the impression that this was meant to in some way belittle her or her family by making seem dumb. i consider her to be one of the most generous and caring friends i have ever had so i had to weigh in.

deep breaths indeed.
