The Woz to Shimmy, Shake, Shine on Dancing With the Stars

We love that Apple co-founder and lovable bear Steve "Woz" Wozniak isn't immune to fame's sweet heron-like release. It just goes to show that that those gifted with Asperger's disorder are just like us! First, he appeared on Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List has Griffin's temporary lover. Now he's appearing on Dancing With the Stars.

According to Valleywag, "Wozniak has asked tech-savvy viewers not to hack ABC's voting systems. If that happens, it will be just part of the circus that will make this a must-see." And, please God, we hope they do. While we loathe that funny-guy-on-the-dance floor shtick, we would love to see a Silicon Valley local go all the way. It's the least they deserve.

Brian Tong of CNET (which, yes, still exists) managed to get this exclusive interview with the cult star. Enjoy.

(An aside: One of the Bay Area's biggest stars is appearing on a reality show--a competitive reality show, no less. That's more depressing than most of you realize.)

"Look Harriet, he's skewing sardonic like we read about!"

Unless I missed something, that CNET 'interview' is just a joke photoshop job. Don't bother.

this is going to be terrible; nobody should watch it.

once one gets a taste of "fame's sweet heron-like release" it is difficult to go back to one's typical flamingo-like state of anonymity.

oh, the perils of hollywood.
