I don't understand this "watching tv" stuff that you keep on about. Does this make you feel superior? If you don't think they have the right permit, call the DPW and have them cited, I hear the city is looking for money.

Oh mushmouth, try turning off your TV once in a while. The link you so haughtily post says that in order to take up 50% of the sidewalk, they have to get an extra permit, which is called a "Street Space / Temporary Occupancy Permit." Without one they are limited to 25% of the width of the sidewalk for a maximum of 10% of the area of sidewalk fronting the property. Thanks for playing.

BTW have you bothered to read the DPW site that gives permitted work legal access to 50% of the sidewalk? http://www.sfgov.org/site/sfdpw_page.asp?id=32431#stspace So basically it's just an arsonist spewing dioxin into the air.
