Did anybody read Mick Lasalle's article about this? He was whining in advance, because apparently he feels MILK is totally out of the running for most of its eight nominations. He went on and on about how Benjamin Button and Slumdog Millioinaire was overrated. The article was pretty hilarious.

Sorry... but this is bullshit. I was really expecting to be nominated for my work as an extra in "Milk". It's all fucking politics I guess.

Let The Right One In was released in Sweden after the window of opportunity for Best Foreign Film, so there's the possibility it could be nominated next year for that at least.

Aren't the Oscars already kind of a joke? My mom stopped watching them after John Wayne won Best Actor for True Grit. I still love watching them though!!

Brad Pitt has all the acting skills of my umbrella handle. If he wins, the Oscars are truly a joke. I'm surprised James Franco didn't get a nod for Milk. I was really impressed with his performance.

Would love to see Milk win it all! I think it's got a shot... can't say I was a big fan of Ben Button. But, odds are on Slumdog to take home the big prize. Wasn't too crazy about Slumdog, either, but I'm solidly in the minority there. Too bad my fave film of the year, the Swedish Vampire flick, Let the Right One In, didn't get any Oscar love. I mean, at least a best score nod, come on! Hahaha.

Being an extra in that film was fun! Standing in the background, eating twinkies...
