The porta-potty arsonist has struck again, this time at at the 1200 block of Washington Street during the wee hours this morning, according to reports. No was was injured, no arrests have been made. (Are there really, THAT many porta-potties in Russian Hill? Seems an unusual amount of kindle for this guy to burn.)

There's hundreds of these things on the streets of San Francisco. Some blocks in the toilet attack areas (including the Marin and Pac Hights and Nob Hill) would look funny without a construction site.

It's true, they are everywhere. God forbid the Russian Hill dwellers actually let construction workers use their own restrooms.

You hit the nail on the head. My guess is the porta torcher is a disgruntled neighbor or construction worker!

I've thought that it was a disgruntled neighbor for a while now.

@aj They have to have them at construction sites by law. Probably due to the powerful porta-potty lobby.

i almost wonder if this toilet torcher is creating some copy cats.

I was thinking the same thing... He could at least start to leave a note. Maybe he hates redevelopment and gentrification. I think he should start doing this to DPT carts.

This guy needs a super hero/evil genius outfit, or at least a tag line when he strikes. And we need a google map of all the porta-potty pyro's hits.

So when is someone going to make the google-link map of flaming port-o-potties??

He needs a theme song too. And a better name. And a sidekick (who torches portable bidets). And a graphic on CNN. And a painful backstory in which perhaps his parents were killed by a toilet, or the poop snake bit his bum or something. Does John Stewart know about this yet?

Firestarter pic? Damn, that's good.
