dude, what the hell? his criminal record is irrelevant. why are you so quick to call him a piece of crap? you don't even know the guy. even assuming he did have some huge criminal record (nobody knows the specifics), everyone in his family says he was turning his life around to support his child - at the very least he deserved the chance to do so. he was only 22 years old. plenty of people make mistakes in their youth and grow up to be come respectful contributing members of society. you need to put a lid on your baseless nonsense.

Where is this information re his criminal record? I googled but only saw that he loved his daughter, fishing, black-capped chickadees and exploring the caves of the unknown. In any event, if this guy had been robbing someone, raping someone, beating someone, I'd say blast away. But regardless of his record, it appears he was doing none of the above. This appears to have been an inexperienced, trigger happy cop who had no business in that job.
