That guy in Berkeley isn't being fined for growing stuff, he's being fined for unsafe construction practices. Roofs aren't designed to hold as much weight as floors are and a bunch of big containers full of dirt and water is potentially a lot heavier than a normal floor might be designed for.

re BART shooting statement: "It's frustrating to us because people are getting upset about what happened..." It's been what almost 7 days without a statement from the policeman. This is clearly a murder. Get a clue BART and get the checkbook ready. Civilian oversight is clearly needed over these BART cowboys
