This stupid march in on my birthday. How dare they bus into my city and march on MY BIRTHDAY. But more than being pro-choice, I am pro-education. The number of abortions/abandoned children/abused children would be so reduced if we simply backed comprehensive sex-education more. Seriously. Ugh. Makes me so mad.

I went to that protest a few years ago, to "counter-protest" on the pro-choice side. The idea is just to let the pro-lifers know that everyone doesn't agree with their point of view. Does it help? I have no idea. I don't think I converted anyone on the pro-life side to my way of thinking, but at least they can see that people who disagree with them exist. I can't decide if I should go again this year; sounds like everyone here thinks it's "crazy" to take part in any kind of protest, but there have been a lot of attempts to change the laws in recent elections, so I don't think pro-choice voters should feel complacent.

You know what hurt women more than abortion? Illegal abortions, because when it was illegal they were forced to shamefully try and coat-hanger their way out of an undesired child, frequently causing internal bleeding, infection and death.

I would like to go on record and say that I am pro-abortion. This world already has too many petulant, weak, greedy children. I am also for euthanasia of anyone who is sick, elderly or just plain stupid and annoying. That includes people who clip their nails on MUNI and BART, those who cross the street against the light and any moron who sits at a green light and continues text messaging even after the light has turned. Death to you all!

This is just more of the conservative framing of the argument. Just like calling it "Death Tax." Conceptually you can't argue against a death tax because taxing dead people is ridiculous, even though we know that argument itself is ridiculous. 'Pro-life' is the same issue and 'pro-abortion' is it's close cousin. If you aren't pro-life you must be pro-death--binary framing. That may seem kooky but it works and it's taught in poly-sci courses. So why can't liberals collectively figure this out? If you want to know more about it get the book "Don't Think of an Elephant."

In context, that sign needs either a "for" in it, or for the "HURTS" to be changed to "HELPS." Stupid anti-abortionists, should have used a less-easily modifiable word.

Because saying you are "pro-abortion" sounds like you think ALL pregnancies should be terminated. The only people who use that phrase are anti-choice.
