Fry's VP Swipes $65M to Pay Gambling Debts

gamblingfrys.jpg

Ausaf Umar Siddiqui, a Fry's Electronics VP and Palo Alto resident, is being accused of stealing around $65 million in company funds to pay gambling debts. According to reports, Siddiqui is "accused of cutting side deals with some Fry's suppliers, allegedly receiving kickbacks in exchange for placing larger than normal orders at higher prices." Sounds like somebody needs a surprise meeting with Jeff VanVonderen, yes? (Speaking of Intervention, the greatest show on television, did anybody watch it last night? Jesus. Amazing. We predict swallowing 'out' and eating through a tube 'in' as next year's hottest foodie trend. God willing.)

hahaha. apparently there's lots of corruption at fry's. i've heard of things like this many times before. i like to take advantage of the poor management at fry's sometimes. they have (or at least they used to have) an incredibly lax return policy. i bought a computer shell from Fry's when I was building a computer. I decided I wanted a nicer one, and I was able to return the shell without the box, without the receipt, and with several screws missing. they took off $5 for the missing box. only at Fry's.

I watched the first few minutes of Intervention and was so grossed out I had to stop. It was worse than the chick who stored her puke in plastic bags in her closet.

Give me a good old-fashioned coke addict or meth freak any day. These eating disorder episodes are killing me.

did you ever see the episode of the girl addicted to duster? that has the be the funniest shit i've ever seen. she would take a hit of duster mid-sentence.

@oskarv -

That's Allison. Her episode's already a classic. Google "Allison walking on sunshine" and enjoy.
