Remember when battles between the 49ers and Rams in the 80s, 90s & 00s would be cataclysmic offensive showdowns to determine ownership of the NFC West?

Yeah, those days are gone for now.

The Rams are one of the few teams that the Niners are favored against. SF should mertilize the Rams as STL's braintrust flails about in interim limbo.

Whichever franchise loses this game will be meted out an extra portion of disdain by their local press.
