While the banana slugs are on break for the holidays, hooligans went on a vandalism spree on Wednesday night at the UCSC campus. According to reports, the unidentified misfits damaged "up to 20 university cars, breaking windows of buildings and vehicles, spraying graffiti in residence halls, and laying down road spike strips." While officials have no suspects, we can only assume it was the work of Stevenson students. Oh wait, police said the trustifarianesque graffiti scrawled on dormitory walls, sigh, "expressed opposition to the prison system, law enforcement, and campus growth." So scratch that, this was clearly the work of Porter students.

from what i hear, kresge students are nothing short of perfection.
I heard they're going to have to cancel their Shakespeare theatre thing they do annually this year due to the economy. Sad :(.

Sure, the "prison system." The correctional officers' union is probably the single strongest lobbying group in the state. They ensure that laws are repeatedly amended to increase the punishment, leading to more prisons, leading to better job security. If that's not a "system," I don't know what is.

I graduated from UCSC three years ago and loved it. But there was always this presence of misdirected anger and idiots hating the system without thinking to maybe join it and make a difference from within.
UCSC students are a little retarded. But who knows if it's students or not? People who get vandally about stuff like this might just be using UCSC as their canvas.
