San Francisco Film Critics Circle Awards Milk, Tomei Top Honors

The San Francisco Film Critics Circle awarded Gus Van Sant's Harvey Milk biopic Milk yet another fresh batch of honors. The acclaimed flick walked away with Best Picture, Best Actor (Sean Penn), Best Director (Van Sant), and Best Screenplay (Dustin Lance Black) awards last night. But best of all, the iconic Marissa Tomei nabbed the Best Supporting Actress Award for The Wrestler. (Even with a controversial Oscar win under her belt, she remains a grossly underrated actress.) Other awards went to Sally Hawkins (Best Actress, Happy-Go-Lucky), Heath Ledger for that Batman move everybody seems to be freaking out over, and Peter Morgan (Best Adapted Screenplay, Frost/Nixon).

My friend and I walked out of Happy-Go-Lucky. It was horrid, Sally Hawkins' character was horrid, nobody was likable, there was no plot. I guess MY happiness was knowing I only paid $7 for the movie.

Have to give it to Hawkins for being totally 100% nuts and annoying.

Milk, on the other hand, was great.

LOVE Marissa Tomei ... just love her.

Tomei also gets the Oscar for Best Tits. And I'm gay.
