No More Postcards to Repeal DOMA

californiapostcard.jpg

Remember that "write a postcard to Obama, asking him to repeal Defense of Marriage Act" campaign? Well, oddly enough, Obama's office has decided that they will no longer accept postcards. Moving forward, only letters in envelopes asking the president-elect to yank DOMA will be accepted. So, does this mean that it was working, and they got the message? Or that they're irritated and pissed off? We hope it's the former.

Keep sending them anyway.

whatabout postcards inside of envelopes?

Exactly. They're just trying to create the impression that some mail will not be delivered, or that more civilized forms are the only acceptable forms. What are they going to do, have the Post Office scan the content so that only Repeal-DOMA cards are thrown out? Doubtful. Besides, at least make them (Obama or the USPS request/order an additional recycling bin. Keep making them have to deal with it. Keep the pressure up until something (real) happens.
