We didn't see or hear and lightening and thunder. Did you? And where is this pea-sized hail we've been promised? No signs of them at SFist HQ in SOMA. Sheesh. (Although there have been reports of an unidentified icy, fluffy, white substance found over in the East Bay.) Anyway, brace yourselves, because this most recent storm has prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a warning drivers to... slow down. We will update with any further requests of vehicular sedentary states as the come in to us.

Heard thunder this morning as I headed out for work, around 6:45 am.
It was crazy hailing this morning around 6:30, and I awoke to strange white patches on the ground in my backyard. Appears to be fluffy and snow-like...please advise.
Last night it was lightening and thundering down around Foster City. WOO!
I had hail last night! It was bouncing off the stairs against my windows... it was loud!
The hail last night woke me up! I think it was around 11pm (yes, I had an early Sunday after a late Saturday).
i live on the corner of pine and larkin and boy, there was hail! it kept getting in through my window. it was coming down pretty hard for about 10 minutes. then it let up, then it came back down for another 10 minutes.
Actual piles of snow on Russian Hill this morning as late as 10am. This definition of "piles", of course, is coming from a native Northern Californian.
More snow on the ground in San Francisco than I have ever seen. The most was at the SW corner of Union and Taylor. Some small traces remained in Washington Square, too.
Pretty exciting for me. Just wish I saw what it looked like at sunrise.
AHHHH!!!!! Weather!!!
C'mon folks, it is not that crazy that every once in a while, it is not sunny/party cloudy and mild in the Bay Area.
There was a brief hail storm last night in the Inner Richmond around 11p. But it wasn't so much peas as it was dippin dots.
I heard some hail last night in the outer Richmond as well.
Heard some light thunder sometime around midnight. Didn't last too long.
Then, owing to the rodents in my walls that my pathetic excuse for a landlord refuses to mitigate, I heard whatever-it-was hitting my roof and windows. No idea what time that was, but it was still dark. I was curious as hell, but too damned tired to get up and see if there was anything on the ground. This was in the Mission.
I don't know if there was hail, but it was raining very, VERY hard and loudly this morning. Alas, I was too snuggled up in bed with my dog as foot warmer to haul my lazy ass out to check for hail.
Hail was in the 11 o'clock hour in the Richmond, went on for a few minutes, pretty neat.
Hail woke me up in the mission around 6 this morning.
hail in the haight around 6, too.
