Bluecanary, I am so with you on Piazza Market. I was so stoked at the idea of having a market in my neighborhood. I went in the day they opened and was so disappointed. What a waste of what could be a really cool space. And why do they even call it a market? And to add to that list, Angela Alioto's bizarre St. Francis fetish shop that opened recently on Grant and Vallejo where the True Value hardware store used to be. I've never seen a customer in there. And Jeffrey's on Grant that appears to only sell the type of clownish clothes that Elizabeth Hasselbeck wears.

I will never get all the Yelp hatred. Yes, it is full of entitled yuppies bitching about some perceived minor slight, but it's also a very good way to find things even if you ignore the ratings and use it mainly as a value-added Google Local. I also find it rather interesting that people come here and bitch about Yelp in the same petty, shallow yuppie way that they complain about Yelp reviewers. @travin: USDA/FDA are excellent choices. @squirrelmaster: perhaps if the big three had spent more time designing fuel efficient/non-hideous cars and demanding single payer healthcare, instead of spending all those lobbying dollars to defeat increased fuel efficiency standards, blaming unions for their trouble, and sending many of their manufacturing jobs overseas, they would elicit more sympathy.
