"alternaqueer"? Please.

I suppose I would agree with you if we homosexuals were solely defined by the act of two dudes love, but we're not. There's a culture, or a variety of cultures associated with being a homo. Mainstream society may have defined what's "gay" but it's becoming increasingly less applicable to more and more people. Gay no longer directly translates as an umbrella term for homosexual, the two words have diverged in both meaning and context. This is a good thing.

whenever i hear alteraqueers use the term "post gay," it makes me want to carve out my eyeballs with a spoon. it doesn't exists.

we (homosexuals, etc.) don't get to define ourselves -- at least not entirely.

"while there is the uncola, the is no ungay. much like the unicorn, it's an impossible fantasy."

Rubbish. It's called "post gay" and your typical homosexual is entirely hostile towards the whole concept.

Is there a concept in the gay community for something like "Ungay?" Like, a kind of enlightenment where gayness has ceased to be an issue one way or the other?

The choice of whether to participate in Day Without a Gay is a deeply personal one.

Pfffft.

Someone was just honking outside my apartment, so perhaps the end is indeed nigh.
