Photos: Repeal Day Parade
Last Friday was the 75th anniversary of the repeal of prohibition. And if you didn't make it to last Friday's Repeal Prohibition Parade, here are a few images of the drunken merriment.
Starting out at Justin Herman Plaza with a marching band and about 30 people, the pro-booze contingency stumbled up Market Street, hitting 21st Amendment Brewery about an hour later. The 80-plus revelers chanted, "We Want Beer!" and singing, "All we are saying - is give yeast a chance" along the way.
Seconds after this photo was taken, the unidentified woman was tackled by eight SFPD officers and arrested for drunk and disorderly behavior. She is currently being held without bail. (Anthony Dimaano)
