How about cutting his own damn salary as mayor? I mean, doesn't he make enough from his business interests? I'm sure it won't affect him that much, but it would help show some solidarity. Besides, isn't he getting like $300k or something? That seems pretty standard for top city positions. Let's knock those all down to, hell, even if we just took them down to $100k and removed bonuses it would be nice and could help save some jobs. Also, firing the terrible Muni drivers that cause problems would be a nice first step, but I suspect that they're being protected by the union and will never, ever go away.

Maybe he could talk about all those big pay raises and increases in spending he did last year that blew out the budget? Then perhaps talk about what he's done to fight all the cuts in Sacramento that are screwing the City and MUNI? 7.5 hours later.....
