This is clearly a protest of protesting--a post-modern critique on the protest itself. By generating this thread/conversation, it has apparently worked. Might I add, red is definitely a hot color for tape over the mouth. It evokes feelings of passion and anger!

A commenter on SF Citizen said that they are in front of an abortion clinic (there is a small unmarked door right next to the Walgreen's entrance). White people lashing out against SWPL, I love it! Based on the perspective of the pic, they're facing the Walgreens entrance. So they're probably complaining about something Walgreens does or did. But alas, the issue at hand is more complicated and nuanced! Are they protesting Walgreens as their proximity and orientation suggests to you, or are they in fact protesting Kaiser by also turning their backs on them? That would be a double-burn that Walgreens Corporate could only dream of.

SWPL sucks because it's 1) inaccurately titled (it ought to be "stuff yuppies like", really) and 2) it seems to say that in order to avoid mockery, you should not do things like, you know, recycle, because that's for white people. Why should being a decent human being be grounds for mockery?

Its probably someones MA performance project. It's a requirement that the SF State communication department requires you to do. A live performance piece that is designed to cause a public disturbance and in affect allow you to observe the observes reaction to the piece.
