See, environmentalists, consumer advocates, labor unions, students, anarchists and pacifists all gathered bring attention to how the World Trade Organization's laws were affecting democracy around the world. A terribly serious movie about those events, Battle in Seattle (2008), directed by Stuart Townsend starring his gal pal Charlize Theron, screens in the Haight.
