only 36 theaters? that's kind of shocking.
only 36 theaters because it's not set for nationwide release until this friday. really phenomenal numbers for only 36 theaters! lines at the castro theatre have been extending all the way down the block for a week now.
That's phenomenal! Awesome movie. The Castro is SO the best place to see it, totally cool that most of it takes place right outside the door. Don't be put off by the lines, I was in line on Sunday down past the MIX and the line moved very fast with lots of seating still available when I got in.
Just out of curiosity, what's the beef with The Boy in the Striped Pajamas?
There were sell-out shows in Dallas (like, TX) all weekend, too. Great movie.
Oznog, TBITSP is awful.
Brock,
Fair enough. I hadn't heard of it until you mentioned it.
It's a pretty amazing film. Gus Van did a goodie. I saw it opening night at the Castro.
I thought the boy in striped pajamas was good...just depressing as hell.
