Indeed. Stuffing/dressing is dry bread cubes, broth, celery and onion, a bit of butter, and spices. Putting something else in it is an abomination.

my mom alway put chicken livers in our "dressing". never stuffed the turkey with it except maybe once or twice. she'd use turkey fat to make it though. except the 5 years i was vegetarian.
