I take the bus to work instead of driving. Can I use that as an offset and have a fire tonight? Just joking, but trying to point out that it seems kind of odd to ban this one specific thing.

If the ban were related to pollution, it would allow use of EPA-certified woodstoves, the kind which were built to limit particulate emissions. Unfortunately the BAAQMD ignored established practices from areas where wood-burning is much more common and simply banned everything. I'm with the Pagans on this, Godwin be damned.

So does that mean that Amici's pizza won't be able to cook pizzas in their wood fired oven? Nuked pizza sucks. I say to the air quality folks, f-them! If they ban wood burning on Christmas day, they will be hated upon for a long time. Opening gifts next to a wood burning fire is tradition.
