I love this. Check out noise complaints the past sixty days for the intersection of Larkin & California. That big number? That's just one person (in dire need of an old-fashioned caning).

This is also a great way to check up on what happens after you call something in. I called about a car parked in a bike lane late Thursday night. The result according to EveryBlock: Canceled before unit dispatched This can occur when a citizen calls to cancel an earlier call before a unit was dispatched. I suppose the police got distracted by all those violent crimes they are out there solving.

Wow. The thrill of the information age. I laughed out loud when I learned that someone called in a "suspected homeless" at an intersection near my apartment yesterday. That would be like calling the police to tell them it's cloudy: it's homeless folks 24/7 here near the "flank" area of SoMa. Come to think of it, there's a homless shelter at the intersection in question!
